Dr. Kavya Reddy Kambham is a highly skilled Pediatric Intensivist with extensive training and experience in managing critically ill neonates and children. She completed her MD in Paediatrics from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, followed by advanced fellowship training in Pediatric Critical Care at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), London, one of the world’s leading pediatric centers.

Her professional journey spans over 8 years across renowned hospitals in India and the UK, where she has managed complex cases in PICU, CICU, and NICU settings. At GOSH, London, she gained hands-on expertise in ECMO management, pediatric transport and retrieval medicine, clinical audits, and protocol development.

Prior to her fellowship, she worked as Junior Consultant in PICU at Star Hospitals, Hyderabad, where she managed critically ill children, including complex post-cardiac surgery cases requiring advanced therapies such as HFOV, INO, ECMO, and peritoneal dialysis. She was actively involved in teaching, clinical audits, and hospital committees, contributing to safe drug practices and quality care delivery.

Her earlier roles at Gleneagles Global Hospitals, Chennai, and Ramesh Hospitals, Guntur, further enriched her expertise in pediatric liver transplant care, NICU management, and pediatric oncology critical care. At Andhra Hospitals, Vijayawada, she built a strong foundation in independent management of critically ill children, neonatal resuscitation, and advanced ICU procedures.

Dr. Kavya is proficient in advanced procedures including intubation, central and arterial line placement, peritoneal dialysis, intercostal drain insertion, bone marrow biopsy, and intrathecal chemotherapy. She is also trained in baseline echocardiography and bedside ultrasound for critical care.

Passionate about teaching and mentoring, she has over 8 years of experience training undergraduates, postgraduates, and nursing staff. Alongside clinical care, she actively engages in parent counselling, grief management, and palliative care, ensuring holistic support for families during critical times.
